The Somali Minister of Transport and Aviation, Hon Mohamed Farah Nuh, met with Ed Norris, the commander of the US Special Operations Forces East Africa (AFRICOM), and a group of officers he led.
The meeting focused on further strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the two countries, especially in areas related to aviation security and airport management.
The officials stressed the importance of enhancing air security in Somalia, to ensure that both domestic and international flights operate safely.
The Minister thanked AFRICOM and the US government for their continued support to Somalia, noting that such cooperation is an important pillar for the country’s development and stability.
