Somalia Prime Minister dismissed ministers and appointed new ones today

The Prime Minister of the Somali Government, Hamsa Abdi Barre, today made appointments and dismissals in his cabinet.

Three ministers were reshuffled, transferred to their respective ministries, while two others were dismissed.

New deputy ministers, some of whom are MPs, were also appointed to the cabinet, while those who previously held those positions were dismissed.

Jibril Abdirashid Haji was appointed as the Minister of Defense of the Somali government, which was held for several years by Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur Jama who is now appointed as the Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Somali government, was appointed for Mahmoud Ahmed Aden (Geesood).

Mohamed Farah Nur was appointed as the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Somali government.

Mohamed Abdulqadir Ali was appointed as the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Somali government.

Also the Prime Minister appointed the following members as Deputy Ministers;

Dahabo Suusow Muunye – Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports

Osman Ahmed Macow – Deputy Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs

Sahuur Haaji Culusow Hassan – Deputy Minister of Energy and Water

Sulub Ahmed Firin – Deputy Minister of Internal Security

Maxamuud Abdullahi Ahmed (Abukaate) – Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry

Amina Hussein Ali – Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs

Huseen Ali Haaji – Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change

Fartuun Abdulqadir Farah – Deputy Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport

Mohamed Adan Mohamed – Deputy Minister of Planning, Investment & Economic Development.

Mohamed Hussein Abuukar (Gaaraxo) – Deputy Minister of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing
