The Somali government has detailed a well-planned operation by the National Army and international partners that targeted Al Shabab bases in Jilib town in Middle Juba region.
The targeted areas include the district headquarters, the so-called headquarters by the rebels, two training and bombing sites, and two houses where Leader Hassan Yaqub and Leader Amin resided.
This operation destroyed all the targeted areas, and there were heavy losses in terms of deaths and injuries among the enemy militias and leaders, which the government is still counting.
The National Army and international partners conducted other targeted operations to destroy the most important positions of the Al Shabab enemy in the Ceel Bacad area, which is located on the border of the Middle Shebelle and Galgaduud regions, and in the Mubarak area in the Lower Shebelle region.
