The governor of Banadir region and the mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, held a meeting with the heads of the Somali Chamber of Commerce, the Banadir Region Chamber of Commerce and some of the committees of traders operating in the markets of Mogadishu.
The meeting attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Administration and Finance of Banadir Region, Mr. Ise Mohamud Guure and the Director General of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Faysal Mohamed Hashi, discussed the process of managing taxes levied on businesses in Banadir Region, while reports and suggestions were heard from businessmen and the Ministry Finance.
The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, praised the role of businessmen in contributing to economic growth and supporting the government, as they are tax payers and he said in the forum that he will work on harmonizing the tax system of the Ministry of Finance and the suggestions made by the businessmen.
