Demonstration in support of one person one vote elections held in Mogadishu.

Mogadishu, the capital city of the country, today held a demonstration in support of the electoral process of people and votes, at a time when the tension caused by the election in Kismayo has increased.

The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu participated in a large rally in which the community of Mogadishu supported the decision of the two Houses of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia to pass the rules of elections, political parties and the Electoral Committee and the boundaries of the country.

Also, the thousands of people who gathered at the Daljirka Dasoon statue loudly supported the decision of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the National Government that the country to go for the election of people and votes, so that the citizens can get their constitutional rights so they can choose the leaders of the country.

Banadir Governor Yusuf Madale called on the Somali community to unite and trust in the election of people and votes, so that every citizen can cast his vote.

However, the electoral process of people and votes which President Hassan Sheikh want to hold is facing serious objections, after they were confronted by the former leaders and opposition politicians who see that the president is interested in an illegal extension of time.
