The Hezbollah movement in Lebanon fired more than 250 rockets into Israel, some of which destroyed houses in the vicinity of Tel Aviv, as confirmed by the Israeli military.
The Hezbollah attack came days after Israel carried out one of its heaviest strikes in the center of the Lebanese capital Beirut on Saturday.
Hezbollah, which vowed to retaliate for the Beirut attack by firing missiles at Tel Aviv, said in a statement that it targeted two military bases in Tel Aviv and its surroundings.
Israeli police said that several people were injured by Hezbollah rockets in the Petah Tikvah neighborhood in the eastern suburbs of Tel Aviv.
The Israeli military said that at least 250 rockets were fired by Hezbollah into Israel, some of which they said were destroyed in the air, but the ones that were not caught caused a loss including damage to property and injuries.
