US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Israel, where he will begin a visit to countries in the Middle East, and will also try to revive the Gaza ceasefire talks and the political future of the Gaza Strip, after the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

This trip will be his eleventh visit to Israel, since the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel, which lead to the on going war in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel has strengthen its airstrikes in Gaza and Beirut in recent weeks, where medical officials on both sides say hundreds of people have been killed.

Blinken’s trip is planned to take a week in which he will go to Jordan and Qatar.
Last week Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin wrote to Israeli officials demanding concrete steps to address the worsening situation in Gaza, or face possible restrictions on US military aid.
