The United States Command in charge of continental operations in AFRICOM said in a press release that they carried out an attack in a place 60 kilometers from the coastal city of Bosaso in Adam’s hand, they killed members of Daesh.
AFRICOM has not disclosed the names of the targeted people, their number and other related information if there is any loss to the local civilians in the area where the operation was carried out.
This attack is part of the ongoing operations carried out by the United States in Somalia, especially in the areas where ISIS and Al-Shabaab operate.
The report adds that the United States will provide support to the Puntland forces in the fight against Daesh, as the administration does not receive direct support from the Federal Government in Mogadishu.
The administration of Donald Trump has broken the previous record of airstrikes in 2019, when 63 airstrikes were carried out, which shows that this year the military pressure of the United States on the armed groups fighting in Somalia has increased significantly.
