Mogadishu, October 4, 2025 — The Federal Government of Somalia has confirmed that security forces successfully repelled a suicide attack near the Godka Jilicow facility in Mogadishu this evening.
According to the government’s statement, the assault occurred around 4:40 PM when militants from the Al Shabab group used a vehicle disguised as one belonging to government forces in an attempt to storm a NISA compound.
Security forces swiftly responded, killing several attackers and launching a clearing operation to secure the area. The government praised the troops for their courage and vigilance in preventing a major terrorist plot.
