The Somali Police Force, especially the Garasbaaley district station, arrested a suspect named Ibrahim Hassan Nur Abdi a police officer, who is accused of robbing and injuring a Somali citizen, after he opened fire during the act.
A news release from the police said that the suspect is currently in police custody and will be referred to the competent court to comply with the law.
The Somali police have called on the public to work closely with the security agencies and report anyone who is involved in acts of banditry or disturbance in the city.
The security forces have been conducting operations in Mogadishu and its suburbs for the past few days, targeting armed gangs that rob and harm the public.
According to the officials, most of the people arrested are armed forces operating in the city, who rob the people of their phones and other property.
