Mogadishu, Sunday, 21 September 2025: ā The Prime Minister of the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, today laid the foundation stone for the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Higher Education, which will be implemented in a modern building that will contribute to the development of the education service in the country.
The Prime Minister said that the reconstruction of the center of the Ministry of Education in the country shows the efforts of the government to improve social services and the education of Somali children, as this ministry is one of the most important pillars of the government.
“The Danish government has put a lot of effort into improving the country’s education and modernizing all education systems from beginning to end. The Higher Education Commission was established to provide advanced university education. We are committed to our children getting high-quality knowledge and skills.” He said Prime Minister Hamsa.
“This ministry is one of the most important ministries in the country, as it manages the most important thing that this country had, which is the children. The youth who want to learn, what they have to say to the government is to improve the places where they can learn.”
The Prime Minister thanked the officials of the Ministry of Education in the country for their efforts in improving the education service in the country, protecting student data and modernizing the academic system.
