The Somali Rescue Forum strongly condemns the ongoing land grabbing at the Ahmed Gurey Military Academy, on the grounds of the Somali National University (JUS), especially the Student Hostile and the Medical College.
The forum said that the looting of educational institutions and the military is damaging the foundations of government and national property, describing this as a clear violation of the country’s Constitution.
They also condemned the national army who are participating in the robbery which they described as a major blow to the army’s reputation.
The forum calls on President Hassan Sheikh and judicial institutions to immediately stop this land grabbing and bring those involved to justice. It also calls on the public and the education community to show solidarity and stand up for the defense of the nation’s public property.
