The Commander of the Somali National Army Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, today visited Bariire in the Lower Shabelle region, where he inspected key locations, including the Bariire bridge recently rebuilt by the national forces.
During the visit, the Commander met with officers of the Somali National Army and AUSSOM, thanking them for their sacrifice and commitment.
He reaffirmed that Operation Silent Storm is progressing with momentum across the region and stressed that Al-Shabaab terrorists will be cleared from their remaining hideouts in the coming days
