The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamse Abdi Barre, received in his office the new Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Somalia, Ambassador Francesca Di Mauro. The two discussed strengthening the relationship between Somalia and the European Union.
The Prime Minister congratulated the new ambassador and emphasized the importance of enhancing the cooperation between Somalia and the EU, particularly in areas such as peace, development, and the reconstruction of the country.
Ambassador Di Mauro thanked the Somali government and people for the warm welcome she received, and noted that she would work to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation between Somalia and the European Union to realize the priority plans of both sides.
