President Hassan Sheikh received the new Commander of the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), General Dagvin R.M. Anderson, along with Ambassador Richard H. Riley.
They discussed further strengthening Somalia–U.S. cooperation in areas including security, counterterrorism, and stabilization efforts.
The President commended AFRICOM’s critical role in supporting Somalia’s ongoing security reforms and reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to advancing stability in the region in close collaboration with its international partners.
