Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a meeting in his office with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Wang Yu, where the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the strong ties and cooperation between their countries. The talks highlighted the importance of deepening diplomatic relations and working together on key areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Hamza expressed his gratitude to China for the wide-ranging support it has consistently offered Somalia. He underlined the significance of China’s assistance in political affairs, security, economic growth, and humanitarian development, noting that such cooperation has played a crucial role in Somalia’s progress.
Ambassador Wang Yu reaffirmed China’s commitment to maintaining and expanding its longstanding partnership with Somalia. He emphasized that the relationship between the two nations is built on a history of collaboration and assured that China will continue to stand firmly beside the Somali people and government in their journey toward stability and development.
