Mogadishu on 19 August 2025 : Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre has reaffirmed that accountability and transparency will be a guiding principle in implementing government plans. Speaking in , he reviewed progress made by key ministries under an agreement signed a year ago, covering federal affairs, reconciliation, foreign relations, security, defense, justice, and climate change.
The Prime Minister noted significant achievements, including strengthening federal governance, advancing reconciliation, enhancing international cooperation, improving internal security, building the capacity of armed forces, liberating and stabilizing areas, reforming justice services, and reviewing the constitution. These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to reform and national development.
He stressed that the “DanQaran” government will maintain continuous accountability to ensure public institutions deliver essential services and respond to citizens’ needs. Barre emphasized that accountability and transparency will remain the foundation for achieving the country’s long-term goals.
