The people of Baled Hawo district in Gedo region today held a large demonstration against a recent order issued by Ethiopian forces in the region.
Civilians are chanting slogans against the Ethiopian Army, saying they are attacking the independence and unity of Somalia.
They said they would not accept foreign forces interfering in the internal affairs of Baled Hawa district, especially when it comes to security and the presence of national forces.
Also, people are calling for the Ethiopian army to stop its activities in the Gedo region and immediately return to their country.
Somali government leaders has not yet spoke about the issue as public sentiment and concerns about the role of Ethiopian troops inside Somalia continue to grow.
