The Commander of the Somali National Army, Maj. Gen. Odawa Yusuf Raage, met in Mogadishu with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Wang Yu.
The meeting discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual support for defending the national sovereignty and security of China and Somalia.
The two officials expressed their firm determination to further strengthen cooperation and partnership in the fields of security and defense.
The Commander thanked the Chinese Government for its support to Somalia, and the Ambassador also confirmed that China is ready to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
