The latest reports from Maxaas indicate that the Al Shabab have entered the town of Maxaas, driving out government forces and residents.
Witnesses told RNN Somali TV about a Suicide bombings which occured on the outskirts of the city before government and local forces withdrew from the town of Maxaas.
Also some government army officers were killed in today’s fighting as is no word from government army officials or the Hiran regional administration.
According to sources there Al-Shabaab is now in full control of the Maxaas district.
