The Prime Minister of the Government of Somalia, Hamsa Cabdi Barre, who held a meeting with hundreds of Somali women in the capital, discussed strengthening their role in governance, defense of the country, elections, constitutional completion, reconciliation and strengthening unity.
“It is necessary to free the country from Al Shabab , otherwise we will not reach the Somalia we want, the Somali Women are important in securing the country’s long-term goals and to liberate the country ”. said the Prime Minister.
Prime minister Hamsa praised Somali women for their great role in the life of the society, and insisted that the government should strengthen the job opportunities of women and protect their political and administrative share of the country.
He added that the rights of Somali women can only be completed when the right of a citizen to elect and to be elected.
