The European Union Office in Somalia has announced that it has donated €10.5 million in budgetary support to improve public services and education in the Somali Government.
The Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Bihi Imaan Cige, today met with a high-level delegation from the European Union, including the Head of the European Union for East Africa, the EU Representative to Somalia, and the Head of Strategic Planning for Risk Management.
Discussions focused on boosting domestic revenue, enhancing public financial management, and strengthening transparency and regulations of procurement and concessions. Also committed to advancing financial governance in Somalia to drive economic growth and continue our fiscal improvement efforts.
