A press release from the Ministry of Information of the Federal Government of Somalia has announced the death of Cabaas Maxamed Hool, the top Al-Shabaab operative responsible for orchestrating terror plots in Mogadishu, Lower Shabelle, and Middle Shabelle.
According to the statement, Cabaas succumbed to injuries sustained during a planned military operation carried out by the Somali National Armed Forces. The operation inflicted severe wounds on him, which led to further complications that eventually caused his death.
The government described his demise as a significant blow to the terror network, emphasizing that he had long been a key figure in planning and coordinating attacks that have targeted civilians and government institutions in the capital and surrounding regions.
This comes as part of an ongoing nationwide offensive against Al-Shabaab, which the Somali government has vowed to eliminate from all territories under its control.
