The Federal Government of Somalia has given more details about a planned operation on Friday were many members of Al-Shabab were killed, which was carried out by the 7th battalion of the army took place specifically in the areas of Kaliga, Libahale, Kakharow, Doonka and Bululow in the Lower Shabelle region.
It is confirmed that 24 members of Al-Shabaab were killed in the operation, while 30 others were wounded, according to a statement issued by the country’s military command and also they burnt completely the Al-Shabab group car in the operation.
Lower Shabelle is one of the areas where operations is still ongoing against the Al-Shabaab militias who are still active in the region.
