Ukraine claimed victory after drones struck four Russian military bases, its largest and longest-range offensive inside Russia since the start of the invasion.
President Volodymyr Zelensky boasted that the strike, which used 117 drones to target Russian air bases, destroyed up to 40 surface-to-air missiles.
Mr. Zelensky added that the ”operation was carried out by Ukraine’s SBU security forces, which destroyed “34% of the aircraft that were targeting Russian long-range strategic cruise missiles.”
Russia, for its part, acknowledged the attacks by Ukraine on five regions of the country, calling them “terrorist acts.”
