US President Donald Trump said yesterday that a ceasefire in Gaza is very close.
“They are very close to a ceasefire,” Trump said during a press conference in the Oval Office, adding, “We will update you on what happens tomorrow (Saturday). We have a chance to make a deal.”
The United States has submitted the proposal to Hamas.
The proposal was initially accepted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hamas, however, has said it will hold internal consultations.
