The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, attended an event where the new Chief of the Somali Police, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, and the former Chief, Sergeant Sulub Ahmed Firin, took over.
The Prime Minister thanked the former Commander for his efforts and good leadership during his tenure. He urged the new commander to continue the important activities of the police forces and work to improve the security and safety of the country.
Also the PM said that the Somali Police are the backbone of the government, and they are required to protect the duties assigned to them, so that the confidence of the community will be high.
