Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has received former world football stars Samuel Eto’o, the President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Jay-Jay Okocha at the Presidential Palace on a historic visit to the country.
The President thanked the stars for their visit to the country, which testifies to the security and recovery of Somalia, noting the Government’s efforts in developing sports.
The Federal Government of Somalia is making strong efforts to develop various sports in the country and market the sporting talents of Somali youth.
The event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Abdiqadir Ali, the Chairman of the Somali Football Federation, Mr. Ali Abdi Mohamed, the Chairman of the South Sudan Football Federation, Mr. Augustino Maduot Parek, and the Chairman of the Djibouti Football Federation, Mr. Suleyman Hassan Waaberi.
