The Chairman of the SoDMA Disaster Management Authority, Mohamud Macallin Abdulle, today in Mogadishu opened the review meeting on measures to prevent the diversion of aid organized by the SoDMA Authority, which is attended by the Internal Affairs Committee of the People’s Assembly. BFS, Ministers of aid of the member states of the Federal Government and Khatumo administration, heads of the Banadir region, international organizations that work on aid issues, members representing local humanitarian organizations, Somali scholars and the Chamber of Commerce.
The chairman welcomed the participants and said that this meeting has a special importance to recognize the importance of humanitarian aid reaching the people it is intended for which is mostly diverted to corruption or mismanagement.
