Pakistan’s military said it would retaliate after accusing India of attacking three air force bases.

India has yet to respond to the allegations, which were made in the early hours of Saturday.

One of the bases reportedly attacked was Nur Khan, located in Rawalpindi, about 10km (6.2 miles) from the capital Islamabad.

Earlier this week, India carried out airstrikes on targets inside Pakistan and in Pakistan-administered Kashmir in retaliation for a terrorist attack on Indian tourists in the town of Pahalgam last month – but Islamabad has strongly denied any involvement.

Both sides accuse each other of exchanging cross-border rocket fire since India began its military operation in the region.
